Every now and then one comes across something of interest that one wants to share with others but it doesn’t quite fit into the existing groups one belongs to. The purpose of this space is to capture those ‘somethings of interest’ which may be of interest to others – the common theme here being that they are all Africa related.

It goes without saying that there will be a bias in what is presented and for this no apology is made. They’re personal interests related in some way to other areas of study and invariably in addition to their being Africa related, they will concern topics which are little touched on. The phrase ‘minority historian’ comes to mind.
